So, welcome back… I just made a post like 5 minutes ago. That’s really not how I intended to run this site, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Here’s a little bit from my last post in case you missed it.

I don’t know if it’s because it’s the dog days of Oklahoma Summer or what, but motivation has been fairly non-existent. But then I’m like, hey… I need to do a blog catch-up of all the stuff I’ve been working on, and it’s really not THAT bad.

I actually do know what it is. I’ve been bored as fuck with my own art. I don’t usually get bored. I can always find something to make me not bored, even if it’s just my own thoughts as entertainment, or daydreaming for hours, or binge watching shit, or actually making art. I just don’t get bored, so being bored of my own art has been pretty depressing. SoOoOOooOo… I’m going to make this post of stuff I’ve been working on for the past month or so, and then move the fuck on to some “new” stuff I’m working on, that I’m actually really excited about! You’ll see what the quotes are all about in a near future post.

Anyway…

One of my favorite things I’ve been doing this past month or so is helping my daughter get ready for her very first art show ever!

I can’t even express how proud I am that all of this went down.  The show was at Studio Ink in Norman, Ok, and was part of their Second Friday Art Walk happenings with 3 featured artists, my daughter being one of them. She works in digital photography, and travels to abandoned places all over the region, and gets some pretty eery, pretty awesome images.

Here’s a gallery of various getting-ready-for-the-show type stuff. Of course I’m a dipshit and forgot to document the actual show while it was happening, I can’t help it, proud mom beaming non-working brains.

The show was a total success and more than anyone could hope for as a first show!  I’m really annoyed with myself for not getting pics or video at the actual show, but nothing I can do about it now! Thanks again to everyone who came out! She sold a bunch of stuff and was mostly just super stoked to show everyone what she had put together.

I’m going to be building her a web portfolio within the next few weeks, and she will probably be selling her stuff on Etsy, or something along those lines, and definitely any time we have a NoArt event, so keep your eyeballs peeled!  I’ll edit this post soon with some of my favorites from the show, maybe.

To help keep this site running and hopefully provide a little scratch for supplies needed to do so, I participate in the Amazon Associates program, and can potentially earn from qualifying purchases linked through this site. I will only post links to products or searches that will either be helpful to readers and are directly related to my posts, or products that I use in my process and have reviewed and/or would recommend. Thanks for your support! <3

These are the frames we used. Super inexpensive and still look nice and clean! A great frame for when you have a lot of photos or works on paper to display and don’t want to, or can’t, spend a ton of money.
